There is a statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the fort. It is placed at where his coronation ceremony was held. You will see his Samadhi also at Raigad. Nearby there is a tomb of his beloved Dog “Waghya’”.
There was a palace inside constructed out of wood here, now barely ruins are remained. There are remainsof historical evidences present inside the fort. These explain the rich history of Maratha Kingdom and their bravery. You can go around the Raigad and see the watchtowers, citadel, and the Durbar hall.
